Why am I posting a picture of fog and rain? Well, it may not be the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen, but to me it’s the most beautiful sight I’ve seen in a while. Yes folks, that’s rain. Something we haven’t seen here in months. Ah, blessed rain. The air is refreshingly cool and you can almost hear the trees sighing in relief.

Yesterday evening the sky did get a little darker and there was that smell in the air that it might rain, but after so long, I didn’t dare hope that it would actually happen. Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to the sound of raindrops. It’s the best kind too; it’s coming down slow which means the earth can really soak it up.

According to the meteo, it’s not supposed to last long, but at least it’s something. They say it will last a little while and then the rest of the day will be sunny. I’m hoping they’re wrong this time and it lasts the whole day.
